shapeAbout NSDT

Nonsurgical Spinal Decompression Therapy

It is USFDA approved, clinically proven non-invasive therapy with nearly 80% success rate in reducing pain caused by degenerative, bulged or herniated disc & nerve impingement. It uses latest, state of the art computerised bed to specifically target affected spinal vertebra. It gently pulls and realigns vertebras reducing pressure on the nerves. Negative pressure generated by this helps in retracting any protruding disc material, thus reducing irritation of the nerve. This helps in hydration as well as improved nutrient & oxygen supply to affected area helping in faster healing. It is safe & gently relieves pain in patients qualified for this treatment; within 10-20 sessions of 20-30 min each.

Who can benefit from NSDT?

NSDT gives relief from chronic back/neck pain, restores mobility and many times eliminates need for spinal surgery for patients suffering with following spinal disc disorders (and who don’t have any contra indications like pregnancy, fractures, spinal prosthetics etc). It specially benefits individuals who are not candidates for surgery due to age, health condition or personal preferences.

  • Herniated or bulging discs (lumbar or cervical)
  • Sciatica (pain radiating to legs due to impinged sciatic nerve)
  • Degenerative Disc Disease (spondylosis)
  • Posterior Facet Syndrome
  • Spinal Injury (postural or other reasons like sports injury, accident, repetitive stress injury etc)

Dry Needling Techniques

Dry needling involves the insertion of a thin filament needle to stimulate the healing process of soft tissues...

Who can benefit?

  • Acute/chronic injuries
  • Headaches
  • Neck / back pain
  • Tendinitis
  • Muscle spasms
  • Sciatica
  • Hip / knee pain
  • Muscle strains
  • Fibromyalgia

Frequently Asked Questions

Physiotherapy is one of the allied health professions that helps relieve pain and restore as well as maintain a patient’s mobility and functional abilities.

Physiotherapy is done by using various evidence-based techniques such as exercise therapy, resistance training, joint manipulation/mobilisation, movement-based therapy (kinesiology), ultrasound therapy, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), dry needling, and shockwave treatment. Orthotics may also be used to improve biomechanics, alleviate pain, and restore mobility.

In addition, our internationally trained physiotherapist specialises in the latest state-of-the-art non-invasive, non-surgical spinal decompression technology using US protocols.

Physiotherapy helps in:

  • Relief from back pain, neck pain, sciatica, leg pain etc.
  • Rehabilitation after sports injuries or surgeries (knee/hip replacements, organ transplants).
  • Pain relief in musculoskeletal conditions like arthritis or rheumatism.
  • Restoring function and mobility in neurological conditions such as stroke or paralysis.
  • Developmental delay conditions in children like cerebral palsy.
  • Prenatal & antenatal conditions.

Most medical insurance providers cover physiotherapy to varying extents depending on individual policy benefits and coverage. Patients can check with their insurance providers for details.

Alternatively, contact us to verify if your treatment is covered. Many local and global insurance company policies are accepted at our clinic in American Wellness Centre.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Therapy (NSDTT) is a USFDA-approved, clinically proven non-invasive therapy with nearly 80% success rate in reducing pain caused by degenerative, bulged, or herniated discs and nerve impingement.

It uses a unique computerised bed to gently pull and realign vertebrae, reducing pressure on nerves. This creates negative pressure that retracts protruding material, relieving irritation. It’s safe, painless, comfortable, and relaxing.

The course of therapy typically involves 10–20 sessions over a period of 4–6 weeks depending on the condition. Each session lasts around 20–30 minutes and is carried out by certified clinicians specialising in back pain care.

No. Chiropractic adjustments involve quick spinal manipulations, while decompression therapy uses gentle, controlled stretching to relieve pressure on discs and nerves using a computerised bed. It is non-invasive and doesn’t involve sudden movements.

In many cases, physiotherapy reduces or eliminates the need for long-term medication and helps patients avoid surgery. However, in severe cases, physiotherapy is often used alongside medical or surgical treatment to improve recovery and outcomes.

Physiotherapy can help relieve acute or chronic back pain, neck pain, joint pain etc. by correcting posture, realigning joint movement, relaxing and strengthening muscles, and decompressing nerves.

Though it may take a few sessions, the benefits last longer than painkillers and have no side effects. Medicines may still be required in severe cases as per doctor’s advice.

You can take treatment by paying cash if your insurance doesn’t fully or partially cover it. We also offer special discount packages if multiple sessions are required, which will be advised during your free consultation.
